The Little Friends at Faith Playgroup is a group for babies and children not yet in school. It provides a safe and fun environment for children to interact while parents and other caregivers have an opportunity for fellowship.
Playgroup Guidelines
- There are currently no membership fees or dues to attend the Little Friends at Faith Playgroup. All supplies (snacks, crafts, cleaning supplies) are purchased purely with the help of donations and such donations maybe requested periodically to help replenish these supplies. Occasionally, field trips may be organized which would carry nominal fees to attend. These will be addressed as the need arises.
- While it is not necessary to be a member of Faith United Methodist Church to attend the playgroup, we do wish to extend a welcoming invitation to everyone to attend one of our Sunday services.
- The purpose of our playgroup is to link the adults as well as the children. We have therefore started an online message board. Please visit http://groups.yahoo.com/group/LittleFriendsatFaith for the latest information regarding the playgroup and to post or read messages. Feedback on the group would be greatly appreciated!
- Parents or caregivers are responsible for the health, safety and well-being of their child(ren) during playgroup meetings. Please do not leave your child unattended at any time.
- Please do not allow your child(ren) to wander the church premises. The church has graciously allowed us the use of the nursery, adjoining room, playground and lower level restrooms only.
- Please do not bring any items that are precious to you or your child to the playgroup.
Neither the playgroup nor Faith United Methodist Church are responsible for any lost or damaged items.
- Although we understand that toddlers can be disruptive, any violent or unruly behavior will not be tolerated. Parents or caregivers are responsible for the discipline of their own children only, and therefore a parent or caregiver will be asked to leave if such behavior goes unaddressed.
- The playgroup is run by volunteers. Parents and other caregivers are asked to help these volunteers at the end of each meeting with cleaning the church’s nursery area.
- Children who are sick and likely to be contagious are asked not to attend the playgroup until they are well. This especially applies if your child has been running a fever, vomiting or had diarrhea in the last 24 hours prior to a playgroup meeting.
