Do you have an idea for ministry?
Under the Methodist Church's administrative structure, there is a simple process to starting new or renewed ministries at Faith United Methodist Church. You don't have to wait on committees or even the pastor to get something going. Instead, if God lays it on your heart that we need a particular ministry here at Faith, here are the steps you need to follow to see it happen.
Step 1
Share your idea(s) with several other people at the church and see if it generates the interest of others.
Step 2
Gather at least 2-3 other persons who have a similar calling - experience teaches us that when God calls a church to do something, He will nearly always give that calling/idea to more than one person.
Step 3
Contact the appropriate ministry team leader and share your idea(s)/calling.
Step 4
Your team leader will help you further discern and refine your idea/calling, and then will guide you in how you can get the new ministry started, including giving ideas for publicity, funding, and how to recruit volunteers. If needed your team leader can also contact the pastor for further ideas or guidance.
Following these four simple steps will enable you to fulfill God's ministry as a part of Faith UMC. Let us help YOU answer God's call to do ministry through our church!
